Common Questions

Q: I'm organising a quirky wedding with unusual features. Can you adapt?

A: Absolutely! Whether it's immersive theatre or an impromptu prank, my on-the-go camera setup means I can "go with the flow" without needing too much preparation.

Q: Where are you based and can you travel to my wedding venue?

A: I'm based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. And yes, I can absolutely travel. I won't charge mileage for any location within 30 miles of Bognor Regis. If your venue is beyond 30 miles, I'd charge 40p per additional mile both there and back.

Q: Do you charge a deposit and when do I pay you the full amount for a video?

A: Like all wedding suppliers I take a small deposit once an agreement has been reached. I ask for 10% to secure the service. Then the rest of the payment would only be requested via invoice once the wedding video has been completed.

Q: When do you arrive and when do you leave?

A: I always aim to arrive at least 2 hours before the ceremony to get some stunning shots of the venue at its "peaceful" stage, as well as guests arriving. It also gives me enough time to setup up cameras and microphones for the ceremony. When I leave depends on the agreement - for a Highlights Reel I would typically leave sometime after the first dance. For a Traditional package I would stay a bit longer to capture some of the party.

Q: Can I share the video on social media?

A: The Highlights Reel is edited with royalty free music, which means you can share it on any social media site without fear of any copyright warnings or the video being taken down. The Traditional 40-60 minute video might include copyrighted music such as songs you've chosen to play at the ceremony, so it might be a better idea to keep it as a digital file you can share with family and friends.

Q: Can I request changes to my wedding video once it's finished?

A: Typically my wedding clients don't need to ask for changes. However you are entitled to up to two amended videos (three drafts total) of your video should you wish to be more creatively involved.

Q: Do you do photography as well?

A: Photography is a whole different ball game to videography and it's strongly advised you seek separate suppliers for each. However I'm in a great position to provide excellent recommendations for fantastic photographers.

Q: How do you capture audio?

A: If I'm recording audio for your ceremony and/or speeches, I'll place multiple small microphones in the vicinity while ensuring they are discreetly hidden and don't attract attention. I may also ask the registrar and those making speeches if they are comfortable wearing a lapel microphone. Don't worry - I wouldn't dream of asking the bride to wear one.

Q: What is your approach to filming on the day?

A: I believe in the beauty of candid videography. Whereas a photographer would organise getting people together for photos, I much prefer to capture the moment and let the married couple enjoy themselves. With this in mind I will allow other suppliers to do their job without getting in the way while I focus on capturing the beautiful moments. There may be occasions when I ask the couple to stand or walk in a certain place, but only when they have the time.

Q: How will you deliver the video once finished?

A: Once finished, the video will get uploaded onto Google Drive and I'll email the link. It's always recommended you download the video before you watch it to ensure you're watching at the highest resolution as intended. The video will also have share properties so anyone can view it. All you need to do is share the link and they can download it too!
