Pixel Palace Films is operated by Steven Jay, an award-winning filmmaker with a Masters Degree earned at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.
Steven thrives himself in capturing talent and emotional events in a way that highlights story and the beauty of people.
His love of filmmaking began very young with nothing but a camcorder and imagination. This evolved to making YouTube videos with his first DSLR and forming a team to create his first short film, commissioned and screened at the very first Sci Fi Scarborough Convention.
Eventually, Steven was recognised and awarded a scholarship by the New York Film Academy with Los Angeles as the destination.
Steven spent two years in the city of angels working on countless films as various roles - writer, director, editor, gaffer, sound operator, script supervisor and more. Numerous of his films were screened at the Warner Bros Studios.
Upon his return to the UK, he used his knowledge from his Masters Degree to form another team; co-writing, directing and editing a short film which went on to win "Best of the North" at the High Peak Independent Film Festival.
Since then, Steven focussed on using his filmmaking skills to provide videography where it mattered to people - capturing memories and showcasing talent. Though the flame to create narrative films still burns.
